The P3 potato is a healthier
and more natural food than the potato produced by other
systems of industrial preparation. As it lacks fats originating
from fully or partially hydrogenated vegetable oils, with
considerable amounts of saturated fatty acids and monounsaturated
“trans” acids, the result of hydrogenation,
consumers avoid the enormous damage that these fats represent
to their health. The P3 potato, free of these ingredients
foreign to the natural product, becomes part of the diet
without adding any detrimental substances and offers consumers
a product of perfect appearance and flavour. Also, as it
contains no gluten or added sugars during the preparation
process, the P3 potato is recommended for celiac and diabetic
diets.
In order to offer consumers and food professionals the
best quality, the products used in the process of manufacturing
P3 potatoes are common in the food industry and classified
in the Food Chemical Codex and in European Union legislation
as GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), defining them as
products which, due to their harmlessness, may be used unrestrictedly.
